Whereas genocide is taking place in the Sudan, and
Whereas the United States has a moral responsibility
to stop genocide
when it can,
Be it Resolved: The US should unilaterially intervene militarially in
Sudan to stop
the genocide.
Bill #2: Intelligence Czar
Whereas the 9-11 commission recommended increased monitoring of
domestic threats in the war on terrorism, and
Whereas the new enemy of terrorism demands reasonable intrusions into
the lives of reasonable people,
Be it Resolved: That the USFG should establish a new intelligence
czar to oversee
domestic and foreign intelligence gathering in the war
on terrorism.
Bill #3: Driver Liscenses for Illegal
Aliens
Whereas an automobile is necessary to provide a basic living to you
and your family, and
Whereas the an
automobile allows for families to engage in their communities,
Be it Resolved: That the State of California will issue
drivers
licenses to all eligible persons regardless of citizenship or
immigration status.

Assault Weapon Ban
Whereas the federal assault weapons ban has resulted in fewer assault
weapons on the street, and
Whereas, assault weapons are made for sole purpose of shooting human beings,
Be it Resolved: That the Federal Government
will reintroduce the bad
on federal assault weapons.
Bill #5: Charter Schools
Whereas the evidence
does not support the claim that Charter Schools
provide a better education, and
Whereas, charter schools are more
expensive than traditional education,
Be it Resolved: That the State of California will phase out public
support for
the charter school program.
Bill #6: College Admissions
Whereas, the percentage of minorities at the top
colleges in decreasing,
and Whereas, society needs open access to higher education,
Be it Resolved: that race be recognized
as a factor in admission to
public universities.

Whereas, past sanctions have not eliminated
the Castro government,
and Whereas, the Cuban people needless suffer under current restrictions, that

the United State should remove all economic and travel
barriers with Cuba.

Americans are buying their perscription drugs in Canada now,
and Whereas, controlling medical costs is a national problem,
Be It Resolved: that the US adopt a national plan for buying
perscription drugs and distributing them to American
citizens.

Whereas, information is key to American democracy,
and Whereas, the media provides
the voters with much of their news,
Be It Resolved: that the national broadcast news media is politically
biased against
the Republicans.

Whereas, National Guard and Reservist troops have been increasingly
used
in overseas operations, and Whereas, these troops were
traditionally not used in combat except in national emergencies,
Be It Resolved that the size of the standing U.S. Army be
significantly expanded.
